Way back in 2012 I started making a podcast called Friendship! Effort! Victory!, a casual introduction to Weekly Shonen Jump and its various series. Each episode covered a different comic, and was a springboard to discuss something about the actual magazine or its surrounding media, fanbases, and so on and so forth, at least as often as I could fit that sort of content in.
It ran at various production rates over the years, finishing almost exactly two years after it began with some 30 episodes.
I have a bit of an unhealthy relationship with this content, but people seemed to really like it, and a lot of it has ended up hosted elsewhere by other people, which is less than ideal, so I’ve put this page together to hold direct links to the original 30 uploads, with room to add annotations or commentary below them in the future, as well as probable youtube versions and a new podcast feed JUST for this series as time allows.
(note: Episodes 1-27 include moments where I refer to them by their original numbering, back when I alternated between “full” episodes and minisodes. Ignore that as best you can. You’re also probably gonna come up against a variety of things said that I no longer believe, but we’ll talk about that in the future. Just know this doesn’t represent me or the current FEV)
